According to YourTango and Cosmopolitan, making one's butt look great can hurt the vagina.

Apparently, the current trend of tight shorts (and other tight articles of clothing over the vaginal area) can trigger yeast infections, and because the tightness puts a lot of pressure on your crotch, it could cause burning, irritation, and even bruising around the vulva.
