Before you say "man, what's wrong with schools today, this is just like suspending a kid for making a finger gun," let me point out that there is an explanation for why redditor _AKnightWhoSaysNi_ (which is the most high-school-kid username I've ever seen) landed in detention for this: his airplane was indeed "massive," because it was constructed out of posterboard. That being said, I still would have given this kid points for making a paper airplane out of posterboard. It's hard enough to do with nice, foldable paper. Heck, I'd like to see that airplane myself.
I mean, at least he threw that massive, majestic beast into the proper recycling bin. Doesn't that count for something?
