Instagram is a wonderful app for many reasons, but mostly for innocent stalking. A new update to the platform, though, will require one be even more careful when attempting to covertly navigate another's profile. TechCrunch reported that, in an effort to attract advertisers and content creators, the app is updating its video tool to include a video counts "over the next few weeks."
This sucks for two reasons. First of all, you can soon see how few people are watching your videos.
Secondly, there's now there's something else to worry about aside from accidentally double-tapping someone's photo. Playing a video for three seconds counts as a view, so inadvertently hovering over a video and triggering it to start, or unintentionally clicking on one is likely to count as a view.
