Phil Jones is a designer from Minneapolis who has made a lot of cool stuff and according to his website, gotten paid for it. From what I know about designers, he seems to be fairly accomplished. Which raises the question, why is he taking photos of himself imitating local real estate agents and plastering himself all over their ads? According to the description on his project, The Faces of Real Estate, "I have a deep respect for anyone who is willing to put their face on a bus stop bench knowing what people do to them. I thought it would be fun to do my own take on our local real estate advertisements." This is a great way to get your design work noticed, though, since those park benches get a lot of pedestrian eyeballs and the most important thing in self-promotion is location, location, location.
It's really hard to create that relaxed, trying-to-hide-their-hatred-of-you real estate face. (via)
