All right, artists. You've had a nice run these past several millennia, but your services are no longer needed. Because we now have the human race's definitive piece of artistic representation. And, of course, it is a painting of Darth Vader carrying an unconscious Jesus Christ away from the wreckage of the World Trade Center and toward what appears to be a pile of malformed bones. Of course. Just like I always predicted. (You'll have to take my word for that.)
Now, I think we could have a long conversation about what exactly artist Cedric Chambers is saying with this painting. And I think we will. In every art class, at every cocktail party and during every family meal between now and the eventual extinction of our species. But for now, I think that we should just allow it to wash over us. Like some kind of... force. You can apparently buy a print of it now on eBay. Or you can wait until it's a mandatory purchase, like Obamacare.
