That man who let the Internet name his baby daughter had a baby.

Remember Stephen McLaughlin, that guy who decided to let the Internet name his baby daughter? He set up a website—NameMyDaughter.com—and did a (casual) reddit IAmA that generated even more name suggestions. Most of the submissions were actually surprisingly reasonable, if a bit nerdy.
Well, she finally arrived, and here's what the proud parents picked:

Amelia Savannah Joy McLaughlin. Not bad, Internet. Knowing you, I would have been less surprised by Amelia Savannah Fart McLaughlin. Of course, McLaughlin did always say that he and his wife would have final say on the baby's name, just in case the Internet picked something too bizarre. Just to remind you of some of the names the world sadly missed out on, previous frontrunners included:
• Cthulhu Titanium McLaughlin
• Streetlamp Salad McLaughlin
• Luna Le-Dash-A McLaughlin
• Megatron Doge McLaughlin
• Zelda Meagan McLaughlin
• Not Zelda Meagan McLaughlin
Considering those options, we think this couple (and their baby girl) did pretty well.
