A student sent an error-filled email asking her teacher if tomorrow would be a snow day. Here's her teacher's amazing reply.
Here's some advice: If you're going to ask your teacher whether you get to stay home from school tomorrow, try and make it sound like you'd be devastated if the answer was "yes." For example:
Dear Ms. [Name Redacted],
How are you? I'm sure you've noticed the weather report, and I wondered if you would care to share your thoughts on the status of school tomorrow. Will school be open? I do so hope you say yes! I would be extremely reluctant to miss your lecture on "Proper Pronoun Usage." I've been reading ahead in our textbook, and I must say the thought of learning the rules for pronouns has me on pins and needles.
Please reply at your convenience. Stay warm, Ms. [Name Redacted].
Your devoted student
