Two stuntwomen recreated the "Epic Chicken Fight" from Family Guy. It was worth every crowd-funded penny.
Great. Now I'm going to have weird giant-chicken fantasies.
It was only in the 2nd season of the show, but odds are most people who haved watched Family Guy will remember the titanic battle between Peter Griffin and a giant chicken handing out expired coupons. So, apparently, did stunt actresses Jessie Graff and Tree O'Toole, who set up an Indiegogo campaign (see video below) to fund an epic live-action version of the scene. These ladies are cool. They've accomplished more and demonstrated more hard work in the first minute of their crowdfunding video (seriously, watch below) than I have in my entire life. Their names are stronger than my arms. Also, they kick a whole lot of literal ass in the video, in case that wasn't obvious.
"I want you to fight" should replace "I want you two to kiss" as what gross guys say at bars.
As for the original fight (watch below), big action sequences have become part of the show, but at the time this sequence was absurdly long for a show like that, and set a new bar for fake action-movie sequences. Par for the course now, but here's something I never thought I'd say: I think that Family Guy flashback really had an effect on cartoons. Now, it's had an effect on how badly I'd like to meet a stuntwoman and then run away in giggles and fear.
This was important when I was 14.
