If movies were honest about what high school parties are really like.
This isn't accurate at all! I mean who in high school had that many friends?
Pretty spot-on, though it's still a little Hollywood. First of all, whose dad still has a job and enough money to keep his pool filled and cleaned? Second, no high school party stays at one location through the night. You pick a house, then the party-thrower's older brother kicks everyone out under threat of violence and you go to the garage of another house. Then the parents who own that garage come home and everyone makes a run for it to a cemetery or dangerously rotting, vacant warehouse. And only at that third locaton do a bunch of kids who are older than you show up and steal your beer, and you all have to find a way back to your homes. That's what high school partying is all about. Commuting.
