This baseball season has been all about dominant pitching (2 perfect games, 2 no-hitters, 1 clusterfuck) and a disturbing lack of drugs (not even A-Rod's shadiness can spark much interest). So it's refreshing to hear about an era when, according to Pirates pitcher Dock Ellis, "over 90% of the Major Leagues" took Dexamyls, or "greens" (uppers). It's the perfect backdrop for Ellis (and No Mas) to weave the incredible tale of his no-no on LSD.
Update: Tonight Matt Garza pitched the first no-hitter in Tampa Bay Rays history, presumably while sober. It's the fifth in the major leagues this season.
