A dog-owner’s very particular and a bit hilarious list of instructions for her dog sitting nephew has gone viral after he shared the dog’s rules.

Tommy Rios posted a pic of the dog and the extensive list of caretaking do’s and don’ts for the dog, named Pepper, tweeting: "My aunt is having me house sit and watch her dog and omg she's too much lol." The two page list was titled "Pepper the most beautiful girl in the world."

There were the usual feeding instructions you’d expect, but she went even further with explanations, such as "no carbs," and specific affection guidelines ("big hugs little kiss, sniffs, belly rubs.").

Tommy was instructed to send a photo to his aunt each day and FaceTime so she could talk to Pepper. On the list of Don’ts: "(Don’t) yell at Pepper. She barks when you get home, barks when she hears a suspicious noise and barks to communicate. (Don’t) hit, spank or kick Pepper – don’t you hurt her! (Don’t) let her escape – know where she’s at at all times. And most important...don’t you hate her because you ain’t her!"

It turns out there’s a very good reason behind Tommy’s Aunt Elaine making such an extensive list: Pepper has helped her get over the loss of her last dog. She explained to ABC News: "He was my first Pomeranian. He was a special little guy and he passed away after 12 years from cancer. I got Pepper two years before he passed."

Pepper provided comfort when her owner was in need, as Elaine explained: “It would've been much more traumatic because I did have someone to come home to after all of that."
