Kids' drawings are often a source of amusement, but one in particular is going viral right now because of how absolutely hilarious it is. Amanda Mancino, who lives in Bath with her three kids, tweeted a picture of a drawing her 10-year-old daughter Luca did when her class was instructed to make up a superhero. Luca's superhero is a little different from the ones we're used to seeing, in the best possible ways.
Meet Janet, your new favorite superhero:
As you can see, Janet is holding both scissors and a big stick.
In the corner of the drawing, Luca explains Janet's superpower—cutting people in half with her giant scissors. She goes on to clarify, Janet is really only a superhero to herself. That's right, people—you can be your own superhero!
We spoke to Mancino via Twitter about Janet's (and Luca's) overwhelming internet fame. She said, "The positive feedback has definitely outnumbered the negative by far. A small group have advised me that I'm raising a serial killer and should put her in therapy." (Lol.) She added, "Overall, it's been wonderful. The art people have sent has been such a gift. She wants to frame them all."
The picture really took off on Twitter, with Janet inspiring a great deal of fan art.
People who didn't draw Janet still had a lot of love for her.
It's just like the old saying, "Speak softly, but carry a big stick. And a huge pair of scissors."
