Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been entangled in a public divorce battle ever since they decided to split up back in September. But now it seems that they are taking their divorce hearings out of the spotlight. The (former) couple issued their first joint statement saying they've agreed to handle their divorce proceedings and custody battle privately.
The joint statement obtained by CNN reads:
The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.
