If Julianna Margulies wanted to defuse rumors that she and former Good Wife co-star Archie Panjabi have some kind of #badblood between them, her plan kind of backfired. If you want to read up on the history of this alleged TV star feud, read this, but in short: the two actresses mysteriously stopped filming any scenes together despite the characters being friends (including scenes where the characters talk but it's clear they filmed the actresses separately), and fans were like, "WHAT HAPPENED?"
Earlier today, Vulture wrote that Margulies addressed the juicy issue at an appearance over the weekend:
Right, I've heard about [the feud]. Who says that? It's totally gossip," Margulies said. "I heard that question had been asked to Robert King. There's no story there, sorry … I actually had heard [that rumor] and I feel that it has been talked about and answered. I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn't there. There's no animosity on my part. It's a shame, because I wonder if it was two men, when one finds out that he fucked his best friend's wife, if it would get that same attention, you know what I mean?
The best friend wife fuckery is a reference to the plot of The Good Wife, which you would already know if you were enriching your life by watching the best network show on TV.
Margulies also noted that Panjabi was simultaneously filming another show, The Fall, insinuating that scheduling conflicts might have accounted for why they filmed scenes (including their awkward spliced-together final moment together) separately.
Panjabi was like, nope.
Whoah! Sounds like something someone IN A FEUD would say.
Anyway, The Good Wife returned last night. Let's all dress like chic lawyers for the rest of our lives to celebrate.
