Howard Stern's name has recently been coming up a lot during this election season, because Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had been a frequent guest on his radio show in the '90s and early '00s. During his Tuesday broadcast, Stern talked about Trump's appearances on the show over the years, claiming that Trump has always been friendly towards Stern and a good guest on the show, but that he's also always been "proudly" misogynistic.

In the clip, Stern says,

None of this was hidden. This is who Trump is. He was always bombastic. He always rated women. He always talked in a misogynistic, sexist kind of way, but he did it sort of proudly and out in the open; and he still won the Republican primary. In one sense, the fact that we do an interview and people's personalities come out, I'm very proud of that.

For the record, Stern is supporting Hillary Clinton, because he agrees with her positions on abortion and immigration, and he doesn't believe that "trickle down economics" works. But that won't come as a surprise to Trump. Stern explained,

I told Trump this when he first announced, because he called me. And I said, Listen, I just want you to know up front, I've been waiting for Hillary Clinton to be president for a long time. I wanted her to be president before Barack Obama.
