Bad news for Bieber and Beliebers alike—a judge in Argentina has indicted Justin Bieber for a 2013 incident in which it is being alleged that he paid someone to beat up a photographer and then steal the guy's gear.
The incident was, unsurprisingly, heavily reported upon at the time. In November 2013, a Buenos Aires photographer named Diego Pesoa claimed that he was chased and assaulted by Justin Bieber's bodyguards after snapping photos of Bieber. The pop star was emerging into daylight from a club where he'd spent the previous night partying when Pesoa tried to photograph him; Bieber was ready for this and covered himself with a black sheet.
Here's a video of the alleged incident.
According to TMZ, Justin Bieber's version of the incident is that it didn't happen, and the judge has a vendetta against him. ("...[T]he judge is a lone wolf who has been out to get him" are their exact words. If so, Judge Lone Wolf needs his own crime show.)
Justin Bieber's lawyers will appeal the indictment, but as it stands, this means the Biebs can't go to Argentina without getting arrested. That's a problem, because he's starting the South American leg of his Purpose World Tour and his biggest fan base is in Argentina. Not ideal.
