Saturday night at the Sacramento stop on his Life of Pablo tour, Kanye West ended his concert after performing only three songs and then going on a 15 minute rant in which he lashed out at Beyonce, Jay Z and Hillary Clinton.
Following his recent announcement that had he voted (he didn't), he would have voted for Donald Trump, you'd think things couldn't get any worse. But you don't have to be politically active to know that throwing shade at Beyonce is a pretty bad move. The people have already turned to Twitter to create the hashtag #KanyeIsOverParty, where they're celebrating the rapper's strange demise.
After a few minutes of the rant, which was vaguely political but mostly doesn't make sense, West inexplicably says "oh yeah, I'm on my Trump shit right now," which probably loosely translates to, "overly emotional and not putting words together in any coherent way."
The insult to Beyonce included West saying that he was hurt over an allegation that she made an arrangement with MTV that she would only perform at the VMAs if she won "Video of the Year" for "Formation." His frustration with Jay Z was simply that Jay Z hasn't called him recently. Rap stars, they're just like us!
He took a dig at Obama for not being able to effect change while in office, and said Hillary Clinton's biggest problem with her campaign was not paving a new way for the American people. He addressed the (probably very confused) audience, warning them, "if you keep following old models your ass going to get Hillary Clinton'd." Kind of poetic how he turned her name into a verb, I guess?
Well, the Beyhive has officially been upset. Combine that with angry Hillary supporters and it'll be interesting to see what the rest of Kanye's tour looks like, and whether he'll still be able to sell all that Life of Pablo merch.
