Lindsay Lohan says she was racially profiled after wearing a headscarf to the Heathrow Airport in England. Lohan appeared on Good Morning Britain and told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid about the incident in her weird accent.

"When I was flying to New York recently I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and was racially profiled for the first time in my life. [The agent] opened my passport and saw 'Lindsay Lohan' and started apologizing but said, 'Take off your headscarf.'"

Although Lohan complied with the request, it got her thinking about the women who would not feel comfortable removing their headscarves for religious reasons.

"What scared me was that moment, how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me. I was kind of in shock."

The incident occurred as Lohan was returning from a trip to Turkey where she had met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the interview, she also discusses a possible conversion to Islam, saying the religion is like "a family" to her. She is in the process of reading the Quran, and is learning Arabic to better communicate with the Syrian refugees she aids through her activism work, though she has not officially decided to convert yet.
