They say "never meet your heroes" because the people you idolize from afar may be disappointing IRL. In their defense, being a celebrity seems pretty exhausting (although the money must help); or maybe you caught them in a bad moment (we've all been there!); or maybe they've just learned to keep their guard up thanks to people (like us) constantly losing our sh*t around them. Of course, this isn't always the case: some celebrities go out of their way to be charming and kind to their fans. But when they're not, the let-down can last a lifetime.
