Rihanna is known for luxuriating in the moment and being awesome at it, so it comes as somewhat of a surprise that she has any regrets in life at all. Though it is quite fitting that her sole regret is not sporting a bedazzled thong.
While speaking with Vogue—for her fourth cover, according to People—Rihanna discussed that super gorgeous and super revealing dress she wore to the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards. Riri didn't think poorly about exposing her body to the world in the sheath designed by Adam Selman. She just wished she had spiced it up even more with a bedazzled thong.
Because that's what this dress was missing. A bedazzled thong.
"I just liked it better without the lines underneath," Rihanna said. "Could you imagine the CFDA dress with a bra? I would slice my throat. I already wanted to, for wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled. That’s the only regret I have in my life.”
When her Vogue interviewer Abby Agquirre clarified that Rihanna's greatest regret was not wearing a bedazzled thong, Rihanna firmly stated, “To the CFDA Awards. Yes.”
Rihanna was, in fact, wearing a thong when she received the Fashion Icon Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
It simply wasn't bedazzled.
In all honesty, a bedazzled thong may have been overkill.
Then again, Rihanna has never been known to do anything halfheartedly, so maybe everyone should regret she didn't wear a bedazzled thong. For the sake of the Rihanna image. And because the red carpet missed out on a bedazzled thong.
