After coming under fire for falsely declaring himself to be the first openly gay man to win an Oscar, Sam Smith tried to clear things up. Referring to Dustin Lance Black's tweet and the public ire over Smith's claim, Smith essentially tweeted "I won, whatever, it's not about me, sorry."

While Smith made no reference to Black's suggestion that "it may be time to stop texting my fiancé," his tweet to Black can be read as passive-aggressive enough to fuel some claims of drama between Smith, Black, and the fiancé—British diver Tom Daley.
