Shia LaBeouf, the sometime actor/sometime performance artist, is making elevators artsy by riding in one for 24 hours, The Guardian reported. Fellow art collective members Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner are onboard with LaBeouf for the seemingly never-ending ride. The project (called #ELEVATE) is going up and down at Oxford University and anybody who so desires can get inside for some small, medium, or real talk. Watch the conversational Tower of Terror.

The video feed—which hopefully will stop for some bathroom breaks—is pretty visually bland, since for some reason the camera is on the outside of the elevator. Only when participants enter or exit is the inside of the elevator perceptible. It's almost like LaBeouf and his fellow artists went out of their way to make the most boring project possible. At least his movie marathon had some excellent facial expressions.

The elevator video feed also has a comments section, where people are freely expressing their thoughts.

As mundane as it is, there is almost something fascinating about watching other people try to engage in meaningful conversation.
