"I'm a graphic designer, but let's never bring it up again."

Writing for TV and movies is hard, and even the best screenwriters take shortcuts. Sometimes you want a character to have an interesting job, and your script already has a concert cellist in it. That's when graphic designers come in handy.

This video was put together by Ellen Mercer and Lucy Streule, two London-based graphic design students who were tired of seeing graphic designers inaccurately depicted in the media. They raise a good point, too. None of these characters have deep bags under their eyes or potato chip crumbs all over their fingers. They even look like their eyes can focus on something besides a computer screen. Get your facts straight, Hollywood!
