Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the 2017 Oscars with a killer monologue that covered all the controversies from President Donald Trump, #OscarsSoWhite and "fake news."

After Wedding DJ Justin Timberlake warmed up the crowd with his Oscar-nominated song from Trolls, Kimmel came out guns a-blazin'.

“This is being watched live by millions of people in 225 countries that now hate us,” Kimmel joked. “I want to say thank you to President Trump. Remember last year when it seemed like the Oscars were racist? It’s gone thanks to him.”

A plea for togetherness in this polarizing time, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host reached out to his foe, Matt Damon, patching things up before making a stellar fat joke.

While sticking it to Trump, Kimmel reached out to someone in need, the "highly overrated" Meryl Streep, whose decades of lackluster performances have long been ignored.

Kimmel also took on the films, joking, "What an amazing year for movies. Black people saved NASA & white people saved jazz! That’s what you call progress."

Trump sure has a lot to tweet about on the toilet.
