KISS, Nirvana and Peter Gabriel are among the artists voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2014 and will take their place alongside rock legends like Donna Summer, Abba, Gene Pitney, The Moonglows and Brenda Lee.

This year fans were able to vote online for the first time, and three of the top five artists from the fans ballot were chosen. Which is to say, three of the top five artists the fans chose were already approved by something called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and were then approved by Rolling Stone founder Jan Wenner, who has always been the wizard behind the Hall's dingy curtain.
