On Thursday night's Late Night, host Seth Meyers took "A Closer Look" at President-elect Donald Trump's deal with Carrier, an Indianopolis air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration company that was supposed to keep jobs the company was planning on moving to Mexico. Unfortunately, the deal is not all Trump made it out to be.
Trump first claimed that when he stated during a rally, "Carrier will never leave," he never meant for his words to be taken literally. He didn't actually mean that Carrier wasn't leaving and taking its jobs to Mexico, that was just a "euphenism."
PEOTUS did manage to save 800 jobs, for now, but that's far less than the 1,400 he promised to save during his campaign, and less than Trump claimed. Well, what do you know? Sounds like (gasp!) Trump lied.
