Astute viewers of The Simpsons probably remember that the long-running TV show predicted a Donald Trump presidency over 16 years ago. Back in 2000, during its eleventh season, The Simpsons aired an episode called "Bart to the Future," where, with the help of a Native American medicine man, Bart Simpson gets a glimpse 30 years into the future. He turns out to be a washed up loser, while his sister Lisa is the "first straight female president," and apparently taking leadership of the country following President Trump.

In the above clip, at around the 2:20 mark, you can see President Lisa Simpson (oh, if only) sitting in the Oval Office, saying, "As you know, we've inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump."

In March of 2016, Dan Greaney, the writer of the episode, told The Hollywood Reporter the episode was a "warning to America," explaining that the idea of President Trump "just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane." He added, "What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that's why we had Trump be president before her."
