If you thought people were already too expressive on Facebook, life on the social network is about to become even more emotive. According to Wired, the project began over a year ago, with Mark Zuckerberg looking for a way to provide "a more nuanced way for users to interact with posts, for the obvious reason that not every post is likable." Facebook's project team saw that emojis were the perfect option, being that they're "playful shorthand for the written word."
