If you live more than a few minutes away from your favorite takeout place, odds are, your food isn't quite as piping hot as you like it by the time you get home. (It's usually still worth getting the takeout though, purely for the convenience of eating in your own home and avoiding social interactions at restaurants.)
Anyway, it turns out we've been transporting takeout from restaurants to our homes incorrectly our entire lives!
Twitter user/certified genius Eric Cancino recently tweeted photos of his brilliant takeout hack. "I hope every person who ever thought I would fail sees this," he wrote, alongside two photos taken from inside his car. In the first photo, the passenger seat's butt warmer has been turned on to the highest level. In the second photo, Cancino's takeout from McDonald's sits proudly.
Yup–he keeps his takeout warm by placing it on his car's heated seat. Like we said: GENIUS.
According to Twitter, Cancino is a graphic designer, so it's no surprise that he designed this wonderful hack.
If only I had a car and could try this out for myself. I guess I'll just have to stick to room temperature noms.
