On Friday, a Twitter user by the name of Shannon posted a screen shot of a slew of text messages he'd received from unknown numbers, asking to buy his cow. (He does not own a cow.)
"Somebody on Craigslist has a cow for sale and accidentally typed my number as the contact number," Shannon explained in his tweet. "This has been the worst morning of my life."
The image shows that Shannon has received no less than seven texts from people inquiring about the heifer.
Poor Shannon didn't even know what a heifer was until he started getting all these texts.
And as the texts kept pouring in, Shannon decided to have a little fun. He began responding that the cow had suffered a terrible fate, and was shocked to find that people were very accepting of it.
Well, if nothing else, Shannon is learning a firsthand lesson about the harsh realities of the Craigslist cow trade. Let's hope his phone gets some peace soon.
