Just because you happen to share DNA or a family tree with people doesn't mean they have to know everything about you. In fact, some secrets are better off kept from our next-of-kin, to protect their feelings, or ours, or simply to make family get-togethers a little less awkward. Keeping secrets from family isn't always easy—especially if the people you're related to are particularly nosey and disrespectful of boundaries. But it can be more than worth the effort.
In a popular Reddit thread, someone asked: "What is the biggest secret you have successfully kept from your family?"
