Today in TERRIBLE families, I bring you the story of a bride-to-be who is facing backlash from her parents for refusing to move her wedding date after her estranged brother decided to get married on the SAME DAY. Naturally she took her quandry to Reddit's "Am I The A**hole?" forum to find out if she's in the wrong.

The bride-to-be, who comes from a "hardcore Christian" family, and her fiancé, Adam, have a wedding date set for October 9th. Her estranged brother "Tim" is not invited.

She writes:

My family are hardcore Christians and my brother [Tim] and I had always been on bad terms. It extended to our adulthood and I stopped talking to him after he mistreated my fiance Adam and I uninvited him to our wedding.

But now Tim is getting married under family pressure due to his girlfriend/fiancé's recently-announced pregnancy. He also chose October 9th as his wedding date.

Adam and I got engaged in 2019. We set a date for our wedding which's on Oct 9. Tim announced his girlfriend was pregnant days ago and our parents went crazy and demanded they get married next month. Tim agreed under the condition that he choose which day the wedding will be. My parents agreed even though they're funding the entire thing. I got a call from my uncle saying Tim is getting married on Oct 9.
