Have you heard of glow-in-the-dark hair? These insanely cool neon hairstyles have been increasing in popularity and are now one of the most sought after trends of the year. Even if it the excessive coloring wreaks havoc on your hair, all those split ends are worth it.
The good news is even if you don't hang out under a blacklight all day (and who doesn't, really?) to pull off this style. Neon glowing hair still looks cool even when it is not actively glowing.
But let's be real, it's especially cool when it is glowing like you accidently swapped your shampoo bottle for a bottle of radioactive waste.
Guy Tang, the celebrity colorist who is helping to popularize the trend, is definitely not afraid of bold, bright colors. He also has done "neon rainbow glowing hair," which is apparently different than "phoenix neon glowing hair," but either hairstyle is great if you want to stand out in a crowd or piss off your conservative parents.
But Tang isn't the only one who hopped on the neon hair trend. If you search #neonhair or #neonhairbattle on Instagram, you will see that hundreds of people look like Lisa Frank threw up on their heads (in a good way, of course).
It would be especially cool if you can then style your hair to say "OPEN" or "LIVE GIRLS."
Hair so bright you gotta wear shades.
