Labor Day weekend is almost upon us, meaning the end of summer and the return of everyone's favorite fall beverage, the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Recently, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (perhaps the most famous of them all) has been teasing his return on social media.
And earlier this week, he tweeted that we should all tune into Starbucks' Facebook page on September 1.
And now we can see why. On Friday, this live stream appeared on Starbucks' Facebook page.
The video, titled "PSL Pumpkin Hatch" shows a pumpkin, sitting in a nest, presumably preparing to hatch a Pumpkin Spice Latte. It's gone on for hours already, and truthfully, it's pretty hilarious.
Because I have been watching this live stream for over an hour (sorry, Someecards bosses!), I can tell you that every now and then, farmers come in to tend to the pumpkin, play with the pumpkin, and occasionally to place signs that have pumpkin "facts" on them. At the time of writing, 2,000 people were tuned into the video.
As of right now, the pumpkin is taking a nap.
Apparently, I'm not the only one who can't stop watching. People in the comments were basically in agreement that while they weren't sure why they were tuned in, for some reason they just couldn't turn the live stream off.
"I haven't blinked in like 5 minutes," one person wrote.
"I just love how we are all watching a pumpkin," another commented.
"The Great American Eclipse has nothing on this," another said.
Is Starbucks trolling us? Maybe, but honestly, I'm hooked on this live stream. I cannot stop watching. It's April the giraffe all over again. I'm going to get no other work done today. This marketing is genius.
DO SOMETHING, PUMPKIN! We want our PSLs!
