Austrian radio DJ Joe Kohlhofer was determined to get his listeners in the Christmas spirit, no matter what the consequences. According to The Independent, a Santa-hat-clad Kohlhofer barricaded himself inside his studio using the old wooden-chair-under-the-door-handle trick, locking out his co-host Patricia Jordan in the process, and proceeded to blast Wham's Last Christmas on repeat. How long he would have gone had his four-year-old daughter intervened, no one knows. Over 120 angry listeners called the station to complain, but the DJ just smiled and let George Michael's smooth voice blast through the airways over and over and over. 24 times to be exact.

Last Christmas / I went insane at my job / the very next day / I was no longer a DJ.

The holiday hero could only be defeated by one thing, his young daughter. After 2 hours, she called in to say that she didn't like the song. At that, he removed the barricade from the door, and gave up on his dreams. His face looks so sad in the footage, which you can see in the full video here:

The only thing that could cheer him up now is the epic music video from the song he risked everything for.

So worth it.
