"Influencers" who make money by advertising goods and services to their large social media followings have gotten a pretty terrible reputation for their behavior towards small businesses. The thing is, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a large social media following, or advertising to that following as a way to earn money (that's capitalism, baby!). But often this behavior turns into self-entitlement, with influencers demanding stuff for free or refusing to pay full price for products, often from struggling small businesses. And there is absolutely something wrong with that. Especially if the influencer, upon having their demand for free stuff rejected, lashes out and tries to punish the business and harm their reputation with a bad review. If this makes you want to scream, well, you're not alone.
