The unintentional kidnapping happened around 4:00 am in West Palm Beach, Florida on Tuesday.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect stole a black Kia Rio— that was left unattended with its engine running— from a gas station close to the Palm Beach International Airport.

After driving about 6 miles away from the scene of the crime, the thief then pulled into a Sunoco gas station, took the baby out of the car, and brought it to the clerk inside.

Check out the video below:

“Take the baby! Take the baby!” the suspect, a man, allegedly yelled after transporting the baby from the stolen car into the gas station.

The clerk called 911, and deputies were able to reunite mother and child about 30 minutes later.
