A seven-year-old boy is the toast of the internet today after he threw a socially distanced prom for his nanny because hers was canceled.
The boy's name is Curtis Rogers and he's seven years old. His family and his nanny, Rachel Chapman, live in North Carolina.
"I planned it out because Rachel probably just wanted to see me a lot and she is one of the best people I’ve known," he told a North Carolina news station.
He hadn't seen her in two months, the news station reports, so he decided to go all out. Rachel's mom posted photos of the makeshift prom on Facebook, and it's gotten about 7,000 shares and counting.
Posted by Rachel's mom, the caption reads:
"Rachel has been a nanny for Curtis for over a year. When he realized her senior prom was cancelled, he wanted to throw one for her. Complete with her favorite foods, flowers, and dancing, Curtis (and his mom) pulled off the best socially distant prom ever. Thanks, Curtis & Elissa Rogers for making my girl smile."
