.Maid of honor duties can be overwhelming. So it makes sense that if a bride's bestie is in the midst of a mental health situation, she might want to step back.

But what if the bride is the one firing her MOH due to said mental health issue? It becomes a much stickier situation.

A bride recently posted to Reddit asking if it'd be wrong for her to demote her maid of honor due to some mild depression she's allegedly experiencing. She wants to know if that'd be an a-hole move. Here's the full story.

The bride and her maid of honor seemed to be a natural fit:

i Got engaged in December 2020, and was thrilled to start planning my wedding. I asked a close friend of mine to be my MOH, since she knows me really well, and has always talked about how much she wants to be my MOH. She instantly agreed, and i send her documents explaining what i expected of her, and we discussed it on the phone aswell (Corona, so no visiting…). She was onboard, and everything was great.
