When you've celebrated Christmas for your whole life, it starts to feel like second nature — no matter how over-the-top your family makes the holiday season.

But one man, Mohammad Hussain, celebrated Christmas for the first time this year. And his list of observations about the absurdity of the holiday is going viral.

Hussain says he's celebrating this year because he can't go home to his family, so he's basically absorbing his roommates' holiday traditions.

Growing up, my Muslim family never celebrated Christmas. This year I am not going home, because pandemic, so my roommates are teaching me how to have my first proper Christmas.

I am approaching this with anthropological precision.

He couldn't help but notice that the holiday is incredible time-consuming.

He nailed the time commitment of Christmas.

And the dedication to tradition.
