Let's face it, we all spend way too much time looking at social media. And the more time you spend online each day, the more you might notice the same tropes repeating over and over and over and over again.

A recent Reddit thread asked people to share which of these trends they hate most. The answers prove that when it comes to social media, a little more originality wouldn't kill us.

1. It's demonic to do this.

Causing chaos in public for likes. - ModifiedSammi

2. Especially when someone else has to clean it up.

“Pranks” at the expense of retail and food service workers for likes on social media. - RatchetDopes

3. Let's start proving the "no one will share" people right, by not sharing their memes.

I'm beyond annoyed with the "no one will share" memes on Facebook. Really? Why do people feel if their stupid s*** isn't liked or shared their existence means nothing? - sessamaree_

4. Darn, I thought I was one of the genius 5%.

"Only 5% of people get this right" when showing a puzzle that the average first grader could solve. - Tangent_
