Weddings are supposed to be joyful and fun. But we've all been to one or two that have fallen flat.
A recent Reddit thread asked people to recall the worst weddings they've ever been to. From shipwrecks to food poisoning to drunken fights, this is the wedding hall of shame.
Wife's friend was orphan and had financial difficulties. Everyone pitched in for their wedding, but it ended up being a pretty simple as f* ceremony. We thought that maybe the newly weds had played only a few of us, charging us for attending (which I was fine with in the beginning, actually felt happy I could help them out). Turns out they vacuumed everyone's money to make down payments for a new house, in a different country. She left a lot of debts behind and used the wedding guests as a piggy bank. - TudoCasual
My friend made us pay for drinks. And also asked for money as a gift.
It felt like extortion. - KittyGurl212
