According to Hallmark movies, Christmas is a time for relationships to form and deepen, not for them to fall apart. But the pressures of Christmas and mountains of tasks involved almost make it inevitable that somebody will be overlooked, insulted, or hurt.

A woman posted on "Am I The A**hole?" after her boyfriend failed to include her in opening presents on Christmas morning. It wasn't because she wasn't with him—but because she wasn't awake yet.

She wrote:

My boyfriend and I spent Christmas at his dad's. The people there for Christmas morning were my boyfriend, his 4 year old daughter, his dad, his dads wife and myself. I woke up at literally 7 am Christmas morning and my boyfriends daughter had already woken him up and all of them had done presents already. I was upset because growing up we always did presents together on Christmas Day.
