Just because people are working from home and not from an office doesn't mean there can't still be office drama.
A 23-year-old woman posted on Reddit's "Am I The A**hole" forum that she has become the villain of her (virtual) office. Her crime? Not feeling compelled to put time, money, and effort into a baby gift for a coworker whom they've never met in person that recently announced their pregnancy.
(Shouldn't "baby gifts" be given months down they line when the baby is closer to being born? I digress...)
Having just started the job in September—when offices were closed—the woman wasn't familiar with the company having what appears to be a "compulsory gift-giving" culture, and her lack of enthusiasm for purchasing a "congrats on getting knocked up!" trinket had her asking the internet if she's an a**hole.
