When it comes to wedding planning, communication is key. It is vital that the couple are on the same page about the ceremony, the size, and whether or not they're engaged or were even dating in the first place.
A woman sought advice from a Facebook group for brides after learning that the dream wedding she has been planning for seven months is unlikely to happen unless she kidnaps the groom.
This post was shared to Wedding Shaming immediately made me scream with such second-hand embarrassment I wanted to jump out of my own skin.
The post reads:
Ok can I get some advice ladies? 9 months ago my (what I thought was) fiancé asked me to marry him. He didn't have a ring so I assumed it was a spur of the moment decision, but I am a chill woman I understood the ring will come later and all that matters is we have each other. I have been planning my dream wedding for 7 months now. When I told him I was going dress shopping he looked at me like I had 5 heads. Long story short he claims he never proposed to me! He said "why would I propose to a woman I'm not even dating?" I am thinking of tricking him into coming to our wedding and just seeing what happens. Not too sure what else I could do.
