Throughout the month of June, the LGBTQ community is openly celebrated by families and billion-dollar corporations alike, demonstrating how society has grown more open and accepting over the decades. This makes homophobes very uncomfortable, and they appear to find increasingly bizarre ways to justify their bigotry.
Conservative writer PEG went viral on Twitter when he blamed homosexuality for his inability to have close friends. The guy took issue with a New Yorker report that Ancient Greek soldiers were found holding hands in a mass grave, and then made a long thread about his thesis that "the normalization of homosexuality has killed intimate male friendships."
