From toasts that are more like roasts to long and public make-out sessions, there are plenty of ways for a wedding to get weird.
People on Reddit shared the story of the most awkward wedding they've ever been to, and it might have you rethinking the open bar.
1. From AmbienNicoleSmith:
Halloween. The bride was my longtime friend, we were 21 at the time. Her groom was 42, tattoo artist, ZZ Top-looking guy. Very clear visual divide amongst guests, odd and unexplained tension. Some people wore costumes. Groom’s daughter graduated high school with us and wouldn’t make eye contact or acknowledge anyone the entire time I was there.
Bride and groom stood still and made out during the entirety of their first dance to “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash. I snuck out immediately after finishing dinner (which was semi decent from what I can remember, at least). They were divorced within a year.
