A mom in Nova Scotia, Canada was all set to fly across the world to Hawaii for her brother's wedding, but when her daughter wasn't cast the Flower Girl, decided that it wasn't worth the money and time.
Redditor AbjectSandwich1 asked "[Am I The A**hole] for not going to my brother's wedding because he didn't pick my daughter to be a flower girl?" which is already one of the most damning headlines the internet has to offer.
So my brother is having a destination wedding in Hawaii with no kids invited apart from my 3 and his fiance's cousins 2. All my family lives on the west coast - 1 flight to Hawaii, we live in Nova Scotia, 2-3 flights. For my family to travel it will cost $10k just for flights and hotels and my kids will miss a week of school, my husband and I will miss a week of work. I said we would go, he's my brother and we can afford it (not easily, but we can), plus my daughter (7) has been dying to be a flower girl since she was young, and we both assumed as she is their only niece that they would ask her.
