There are many reasons why people become teachers. "To mold the minds of the next generation and change lives" is just one of them. Other ones include: having summers off, seeking revenge on children, and the fact that it's just part of being a nun. Needless to say, some teachers aren't always on their best behavior and definitely deserve detention.
In an unofficial but epic crossover between Reddit forums, a recent thread asked, "When did you realise that teacher you loved was actually an a**?" It's full of moments in which respected role models are revealed to be The A**hole.
(We didn't include the stories of criminals, because those are both too disturbing too obvious.)

The day before Christmas break my 7th grade English teacher gave us a crossword puzzle about how Santa wasn’t real. She was sitting in the back with students laughing about how one year she did this and a student still believed. I still believed......... worst last day before break ever. -newfielover998
