<p>Question: is it ever ok to not tip your server? What about tipping in something other than money? Like a gift card. This is a debate that has recently been sparked on TikTok and people are massively divided.</p><p>TikTok user @kaittwest recently shared a video of her brother Gustavo leaving a $25 Amazon gift card, instead of cash, as a tip on a $95.24 check at a restaurant.</p><p>The video was posted with the caption &ldquo;holidays left us broke&rdquo;, and it provides a little more context to the story. Kait and her siblings didn&rsquo;t have any cash to leave a tip for their server, so they asked if they could leave a $25 Amazon gift card instead.
